Autumn 2010 Session

Programs seeking part-time interns for the autumn term, beginning September 2010: Publications, K-12 Education, Database and Research, Meeting Planning, and Public Policy.

Internship hours and days are flexible. Part-time interns (approximately 20-25 hours per week) receive a stipend of $1,000 per month. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis.

Applicants should demonstrate strong research and writing talents, excellent communication skills, a high level of discretion, and the capacity to conduct various research, writing, administrative, and computer projects.

For Publications Program: Superior writing and editing skills are essential; general familiarity with public policy and political philosophy is desired.

For K-12 Education Program: General interest in and familiarity with K-12 education reform are useful.

For Database and Research Program:  General familiarity with databases, excellent computer skills, and attention to detail are useful.

For Meeting Planning: Interest in meeting planning, excellent computer and phone skills, and ability to multi-task are desired.  

For Public Policy Team: Strong writing skills, experience with online communication tools, and general familiarity with the philanthropic sector are essential. Media relations/press experience is helpful.

  • Writing sample: Either a short article, essay, or book review containing an analytical and well-reasoned argument, or a statement of no more than one page explaining why you have applied to intern at The Philanthropy Roundtable.
