Medal-worthy Giving: Helping Veterans Thrive
April 4-5, 2017
The Ritz-Carlton, Denver
Registration is now open!
The Philanthropy Roundtable will celebrate the launch of its latest book, Uniform Champions: Wise Giver’s Guide to Excellent Assistance for Veterans, with a special two-day event on April 4-5 in Denver, Colorado. Join us to hear from many of those profiled in the book, meet other like-minded donors, and receive one of the first copies of the guidebook.
Since the Roundtable published its last guidebook focused on veterans giving, Serving Those Who Served, donors have made tremendous gains in addressing some of the most significant issues and opportunities for this group of Americans. The guidebook offers 13 extensive case studies on donors and donor collaboratives who have effectively launched or refined their giving in support of veterans.
In the past four years, donors developed rigorous standards for grantmaking in this area, reimagined social service delivery on a number of topics, and grew fledgling startups into national brands. Others have focused intently on making their communities among the very best for veterans to settle down and thrive. Today, there is more opportunity than ever before for thoughtful donors to make a positive difference in the lives of veterans and their families. And Uniform Champions directly addresses some of the myths that currently keep donors from jumping into this field with both feet.
