Barbara Barrett
President and CEO, Triple Creek Ranch
Barbara Barrett, former U.S. Ambassador to Finland, is president and CEO of Triple Creek Guest Ranch in Darby, Montana. Previously, Amb. Barrett served on the corporate boards of Raytheon and Exponent, Inc., and was a trustee of the Aerospace Corporation, the Mayo Clinic, and the Thunderbird School of Global Management. As president of the International Women’s Forum, she led a delegation to China and assisted in establishing or revitalizing chapters in Russia, South Africa, Jordan, Ireland, Chile, Argentina, and Ecuador. Amb. Barrett has held leadership and advisory roles at the U.S. Advisory Commission, the U.S. Mission to the United Nations, Freedom House, the Center for International Private Enterprise, the National Legal Center, and the Global Center for Dispute Resolution Research. She was Valley Bank of Arizona’s founding chairman and served as vice chairman of the United States Civil Aeronautics Board and deputy administrator of the FAA. She has been the member of a number of boards, including the Horatio Alger Association board, the Smithsonian national board, and the senior advisory board at Harvard’s Institute of Politics. Amb. Barrett has been recognized with the Horatio Alger Award, the Woodrow Wilson Award for Corporate Citizenship, and the Sandra Day O’Connor Excellence Award. She earned her bachelor’s, master’s, and law degrees from Arizona State University.
