J. Peter Simon
Co-chairman, William E. Simon Foundation
J. Peter Simon serves as co-chairman of William E. Simon and Sons and its investment group. Additionally, he leads the firm’s New Jersey office. He co-founded the firm alongside his late father, former Treasury Secretary William E. Simon, and his brother, Bill Simon Jr. in 1988. Mr. Simon was previously employed by Kidder Peabody in New York City for over 12 years, where he rose to managing director in the convertible securities department. Mr. Simon is co-chairman of the William E. Simon Foundation. He is also chairman of the Morristown Memorial Health Foundation; a board member of the Richard Nixon Foundation, Covenant House New Jersey, Lafayette College, and the New Jersey State Board of Education; a member of the New Vernon Cemetery Association; and a provisional member of the Charles Hayden Foundation. Mr. Simon earned a B.A. in psychology from Lafayette College and also attended NYU’s Graduate School of Business.
