John C. Goodman
President and CEO, National Center for Policy Analysis
John C. Goodman is president and CEO of the National Center for Policy Analysis (NCPA), where he is also the Kellye Wright Fellow in health care. Mr. Goodman regularly appears on Fox News Channel, CNN, Fox Business, and CNBC to discuss economic policy issues. He has also appeared on the PBS NewsHour and William F. Buckley’s Firing Line. Mr. Goodman regularly contributes columns to the Wall Street Journal, Kaiser Health News, and other national publications. He has authored more than 50 published studies and 9 books on topics such as health policy, retirement reform, and tax issues. His books include Lives at Risk: Single Payer National Health Insurance Around the World, Leaving Women Behind: Modern Families, Outdated Laws, and Patient Power: Solving America’s Health Care Crisis. Mr. Goodman was the pivotal lead expert in NCPA’s grassroots public policy campaign “Free Our Health Care Now,” and he is frequently invited to testify before Congress on healthcare reform and retirement topics. He received his Ph.D. in economics from Columbia University.
