Matthew Minkevitch
Executive director, The Road Home
Matthew Minkevitch is executive director of the Road Home in Salt Lake City. The Road Home operates the Family Self Sufficiency and Homeless Shelter in Salt Lake City, as well as the winter shelter in Midvale. As executive director, Mr. Minkevitch oversees shelter and housing service to thousands of homeless individuals residing in Salt Lake City and surrounding areas. Prior to joining the Road Home, Mr.Minkevitch was director of Utah’s state Community Services Office, responsible for the allocation of $14 million in federal and state funding to nonprofit agencies and to local units to assist people living in poverty. He was also administrative director of Catholic Community Services for the Northern Utah office and also served as the head chef for St. Vincent de Paul Center. Mr. Minkevitch has been active on many local and federal boards and affiliations, including the Northern Utah United Way, the Salt Lake County Homeless Coordinating Council, and the National Coalition for the Homeless. In 2009, he received the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year award. He earned a B.A. in English and an MBA essentials certificate from the University of Utah.
