Annual Meeting Attendance:
In order to attend our Annual Meeting, a donor must make charitable grants and contributions of at least $250,000 per year or expect to do so in the future. Donors who do not meet this requirement but have attended the Annual Meeting in 2005, 2006, 2007 and/or 2008 may attend.
CEOs and development officers of grant-receiving public charities are not allowed to attend Philanthropy Roundtable meetings unless they are speakers on our programs. The Roundtable will make occasional exceptions to this policy in cases where the individual has significant responsibility as a grant-maker or grant advisor and can make a strong case that participation in our meetings will be helpful for his philanthropic responsibilities. As with all attendees at Philanthropy Roundtable meetings, these participants must follow our non-solicitation policy.
Development officers from any qualified organization and/or public charity are ineligible to attend.
Qualified Attendees Include:
- Individual Philanthropists
- Board and staff of Private Foundations
- Board and staff of Corporate Foundations and Corporate Giving Programs
- Board and staff of Community Foundations
- Board and staff of Venture Philanthropy Partnerships
- Board and staff of Eligible Donor Advised Funds
- Officers and key staff from public charities that devote more than half of their operating budget to charitable grants (excluding scholarships).
Regional Meeting Attendance:
All of the qualifications listed above apply to regional meeting attendees. However, attendance at our regional meetings is limited to donors who make charitable grants and contributions of at least $50,000 per year. In some cases, the minimum grantmaking requirement for qualification may be greater than $50,000 annually.
Non-solicitation Policy:
The Philanthropy Roundtable has a strict non-solicitation policy. We do not condone solicitation of meeting participants before, during, or after any event we host. Should you receive any type of solicitation, please contact us at (202) 822-8333 so that immediate attention can be directed to the matter.
