Kari Barbic joined The Philanthropy Roundtable in July 2011 as associate editor of Philanthropy.
Previously, Kari was an assistant editor at the Weekly Standard. Her articles, reviews, and personal essays have appeared in the Standard, as well as the Washington Times. Before her work at the Weekly Standard, Kari spent three years teaching high school English in Denver. There she developed an honors and AP curriculum for high-achieving students. She also designed and managed a student newspaper.
Kari received her bachelor’s degree in English education from Maranatha Baptist Bible College in Wisconsin, where she graduated summa cum laude.
