The Philanthropy Roundtable Launches Can We Talk About It? Podcast

“Can We Talk About It?”, a new podcast from The Philanthropy Roundtable launches today on Apple & Google Podcasts. The weekly program hosted by Debi Ghate, vice president of strategy and programs, dives right into the topics that people are afraid or unwilling to speak about for fear of retaliation, shaming, or judgment to understand why people hold the views they do.

“It seems there are more and more topics we shy away from out of fear of offending, being shouted down, or getting ‘canceled,’ said host Debi Ghate. “This show wants to make room to have the fun conversations but also the hard conversations on topics that celebrate philanthropy, even if that gets uncomfortable.”

The first episodes of the program feature interviews with a variety of notable guests:

  • Bret Stephens, New York Times
  • Ayaan Hirsi Ali, Human rights activist and philanthropist
  • Adam Seagrave and Stephanie Shonekan, professors and founders of Race and the American Story Project“Can We Talk About It?” is a project of the Philanthropy Roundtable.
