Susan Amat

Susan Amat is founder and CEO of Venture Hive, a software and training company in Miami. Previously, she taught at the University of Miami (UM) and founded The Launch Pad, which provides free entrepreneurship resources for UM students and alumni. Ms. Amat built businesses in the entertainment industry for over a decade, including the first CD-Rom Magazine and a national television show. She has worked with the U.S. State Department, the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation, and the World Bank. She was honored as a Champion of Change at the White House in 2012. She served as the founding chair of the STEM board for Miami-Dade County Public Schools and currently serves as trustee of Miami-Dade College. Ms. Amat earned bachelor’s, master’s, and doctorate degrees from the University of Miami.
