Victoria Watson is assistant director of development. Previously, she served as assistant director of K-12 education relationships. She joined The Philanthropy Roundtable in September 2019.
Before joining the Roundtable, Victoria was the associate policy director for educational opportunity at the Foundation for Excellence in Education (ExcelinEd). She managed the organization’s school choice work, collaborated with more than 150 state and national partners, and led the development of the Opportunity Learning Hub, which explains the nuances and practical application of school choice policy.
Prior to working for ExcelinEd, Victoria served as a legislative aide to Arkansas Congressman Bruce Westerman. She moved to Washington, D.C. to participate in the Charles Koch Institute’s Associate Program.
Victoria graduated from Washington and Lee University, where she majored in politics with minors in education policy and poverty and human capability studies. She currently serves as the president of the Washington and Lee University DC Alumni Chapter, which includes more than 3,000 alumni.
