Jewel Burks Solomon

Jewel Burks Solomon is managing partner of Collab, an investment fund to fill the family and friends gap for Black business founders. Ms. Burks Solomon is an advocate for representation and access in the technology industry. As co-founder of Partpic, a startup designed to streamline the purchase of maintenance and repair parts using computer vision, she and her team built groundbreaking technology poised to change the way people locate products. Partpic was acquired by Amazon in late 2016 and Ms. Burks Solomon now serves as senior product manager for visual search and AR at Amazon. Before founding Partpic, she served in management, enterprise sales, and strategic diversity roles at McMaster-Carr Industrial Supply and Google. Ms. Burks Solomon has been featured in publications including Forbes, Wired, TechCrunch, Essence, Glamour, and Fast Company. She is a member of the 2019 class of Henry Crown Fellows within the Aspen Global Leadership Network at the Aspen Institute. Ms. Burks Solomon earned a bachelor’s degree from Howard University.
