Courtney Collins-Shapiro is a partner of The Drexel Fund, a position she accepted in 2018. Drexel is a nonprofit, venture philanthropy fund that invests in educational entrepreneurs to launch and scale innovative, high-quality private schools focused on underserved students. Prior to joining Drexel, she served as the chief innovation officer for Mastery Charter Schools, a network of 24 schools in Philadelphia, PA and Camden, NJ. From 2003 to 2010, she served as the founding director of Multiple Pathways to Graduation in the School District of Philadelphia. Ms. Collins-Shapiro also spent six years working in student leadership development at the University of Maryland prior to her time in K-12. She earned a bachelor’s degree from Villanova University and a master’s degree from the University of Pennsylvania.
