Sam Gill is vice president of communities and impact and senior adviser to the president at the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation. There, he oversees the Community and National Initiatives program and Learning and Impact program. Previously, he served as vice president of Freedman Consulting. He serves on the boards of the Phillip and Patricia Frost Museum of Science in Miami and the Miami-Dade Urban Debate League. Mr. Gill earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Chicago and a master’s degree from the University of Oxford, where he was a Rhodes Scholar.
