Kimberly Hanauer is president of UnlockED, where she works with a broad set of districts and organizations across the country to empower leaders to take a data driven approach to college preparation, application, enrollment, and completion. Prior to starting UnlockED, Ms. Hanauer was director of college preparedness for D.C. Public Schools (DCPS). She also partnered closely with the Office of Data and Strategy to build a robust set of college preparedness metrics and systematically evaluate data on college enrollment, persistence, and completion. Prior to DCPS, Ms. Hanauer served as director of college and career at the KIPP Foundation and oversaw young alumni and campus alumni engagement for Duke University. Ms. Hanauer earned a bachelor’s degree and master’s degree from Duke University.
