Reginald Jones is president and CEO of the Jacobs Family Foundation and the Jacobs Center for Neighborhood Innovation. Through the Jacobs Center for Neighborhood Innovation, Mr. Jones leads efforts to develop enduring partnerships that create equitable, community-driven change in Southeastern San Diego that focuses on physical development and economic opportunity. Prior to his work in San Diego, Mr. Jones served as president of Chicago-based Steans Family Foundation. Additionally, he worked at the Joyce Foundation in Chicago as Program Officer. He is currently an Aspen Institute-Neighborhood Funders Group Philanthropy Forward Fellow. Mr. Jones is a current trustee with the Steans Family Foundation. He previously served as co-chairman on the board of the Council on Foundations, where he chaired the family philanthropy committee, Grassroots Grantmakers. He also served on the board or the Lake County (Illinois) Community Foundation. Mr. Jones earned a bachelor’s degree from the New England Conservatory of Music and a master’s degree from Louisiana State University.
