Scott Laband is president of Colorado Succeeds, a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization that brings together leaders from business, education, and government to ensure all kids are educated to their greatest potential and all businesses have the homegrown talent they need to thrive. Prior to Colorado Succeeds, Mr. Laband worked as the legislative director for State Senator Mike Johnston, and in the private sector as an associate at HVS International and a marketing manager at Qdoba Restaurant Corporation. In 2019 he was selected as one of Denver’s “Forty Under 40” by Denver Business Journal. Mr. Laband is a founding board member of the Rocky Mountain Preparatory School, a free public charter school serving over a thousand students in Denver and Aurora. He is chairman of the Policy Innovators in Education Network and a member of the Colorado Workforce Development Council’s Education and Training Committee and the Business Roundtable’s Inner Circle. Mr. Laband earned a bachelor’s degree from from the University of Colorado at Boulder and a master’s degree from the University of Denver and is a 2016 graduate of Leadership Denver.
