Mike Malkemes

Mike Malkemes is founder and CEO of Generation One, an early childhood education nonprofit. A Marine Corps Desert Storm veteran of four years, Mr. Malkemes previously worked for Charles Schwab as a senior business development broker. He created C.O.R.E. Alliance Disaster Relief enabling strong responses to Hurricane Katrina, Ike, and the earthquake in Haiti. He was named the University of Houston-Downtown Alumni of the Year in 2014 and in 2009 was honored with the Jefferson Award for Public Service. Mr. Malkemes earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Houston Downtown.
