Amy Anderson is executive director of ReSchool Colorado, a Colorado-based nonprofit started by the Donnell-Kay Foundation that aims to improve public education in Colorado. ReSchool partners with families, educators, community-based organizations, philanthropists, and businesses to leverage existing assets to address gaps in the ecosystem. Before joining ReSchool, Ms. Anderson served as associate commissioner at the Colorado Department of Education’s Division of Innovation, Choice, and Engagement. There, she developed a statewide strategy to personalize learning through Expanded Learning Opportunities. From 2007 to 2011, Ms. Anderson worked as director of strategic partnerships for the Donnell-Kay Foundation, where she launched the foundation’s work on blended learning. She also worked as a senior consultant with APA Consulting and led new school development efforts for the Colorado League of Charter Schools. Ms. Anderson is founder and former board chair of The Odyssey School, a Denver charter school, and currently serves on the board of directors of iNACOL. Ms. Anderson earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin, and a master’s degree and doctorate from the University of Colorado.
