Heather Mock is the head of school at Compositive Primary. In her 21-year career as an educator, she has taught and administered grades K-12. Before Compositive Primary, she worked as associate head of school and K-8 director at Dawson School in Lafayette, Colorado. Prior to Dawson, she was an upper school class dean at Kent Denver School. Ms. Mock has also held teaching and/or administrative positions at The Maple Street School in Vermont, The Head-Royce School in Oakland, and Sandia Preparatory School in Albuquerque. She has received multiple awards for excellence in teaching and served on four Association of Colorado Independent Schools reaccreditation teams, as well as on the boards of The Joshua School Boulder and Montview Community Preschool & Kindergarten. Ms. Mock earned a bachelor’s degree from Princeton University, a master’s degree from Teachers College at Columbia University, and is a graduate of the National Association of Independent Schools’ Aspiring Heads Institute.
