Hank Montalbano is a program officer at the Schultz Family Foundation, where he manages investments directed toward the readiness and reintegration of the more than 200,000 service members and their families who transition out of the military each year. Prior to joining the foundation, he worked in cloud security for an enterprise technology company and held an internship with the business design team at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. Mr. Montalbano served in the U.S. Army with 5th Special Forces Group (Airborne) as a Special Forces Communications Sergeant, completing a combat tour as a part of Operation Enduring Freedom. In 2015, he transitioned out of the military and worked in management consulting at Ernst & Young in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Mr. Montalbano earned a bachelor’s degree from Williams College and a master’s degree from the University of Washington’s Michael G. Foster School of Business.
