Cory Montalvo is founder of the Youth Empowerment Broadcasting Organization, as well as a Donnell-Kay Foundation fellow and a Moonshot edVentures School Launcher fellow. Prior to Donnell-Kay and Moonshot, he served as a dean of students and culture, a K-5 teacher and paraprofessional, and a site coordinator for Reading Partners. Mr. Montalvo’s career in education includes experiences in Colombia and South Africa. In 2014, he was awarded a Fulbright Scholarship to South Africa. He serves as a founding board member for the Colorado Youth Congress, where he supports youth in their efforts to work across lines of difference in service of the public good. Mr. Montalvo earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Colorado Denver.
