Laura Moore is deputy policy director at Opportunity Insights. She has a decade-long career working in policy at the national, state, and local levels. She most recently served as senior advisor for education for Nashville’s last two mayors. She also worked closely with Nashville and middle Tennessee’s post-secondary institutions. Prior to joining the mayor’s office, Ms. Moore served as the vice president of policy for the Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce. She has also served as the director of innovation at the Tennessee State Collaborative on Reforming Education. Ms. Moore began her career as the project and policy manager at Civic Enterprises, a public policy firm based in Washington, D.C. Ms. Moore earned a bachelor’s degree from Harvard University and a master’s degree from Vanderbilt’s Peabody College.
