Darcy Olsen is founder and CEO of Generation Justice. Her mission is to put an end to the ongoing violence and bureaucratic failures she’s seen children suffer in our nation’s broken child protective system. Prior to founding Gen Justice, Ms. Olsen served as CEO of the Goldwater Institute. She led the Right to Try movement, which started in Arizona and now gives millions of Americans facing terminal illnesses a fighting chance at a longer life. She is author of The Right to Try. She has testified before Congress, written for outlets including The Wall Street Journal and USA Today. Gen Justice received the Arizona Capitol Times award for “Up and Comer” and Ms. Olsen herself was named as a “Best Activist.” Ms. Olsen received the 2014 Bradley Prize from the Lynde and Harry Bradley Foundation for her pioneering work protecting multiple constitutional rights in state and federal courts. Ms. Olsen earned a bachelor’s degree from the School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University and a master’s degree from New York University.
