Linda Childears is president and CEO of the Daniels Fund, which she joined in 2005. Prior to the Daniels Fund, Ms. Childears was president and CEO of the Young Americans Bank. Previously, she was president of Equitable Bank of Littleton and vice president of First National Bancorporation. Ms. Childears is currently chairman of the Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce, treasurer of Employers Council, and serves on the boards of Council on Foundations and Denver Police Foundation. She also serves on Mayor Hancock’s Denver Education Compact. Ms. Childears is a past chairman of National Assembly, National Camp Fire, and Cherry Creek Arts Festival. She has served on more than 20 boards and was chairman of the American Bankers Association Education Foundation. In 2016, Ms. Childears received the Del Hock Lifetime Achievement Award from the Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce. The Colorado Women’s Chamber of Commerce named Ms. Childears one of its 25 Most Powerful Women in 2014. She was 2010’s National Philanthropy Day’s Outstanding Professional in Philanthropy, and City Year Denver’s 2015 Red Jacket Honoree. Ms. Childears received honorary doctorate degrees from Johnson & Wales University and the University of Denver.
