Ian Rowe

Ian Rowe is CEO of Public Prep, the nation’s first and oldest network of tuition-free pre-K and single-sex elementary and middle public charter schools in the South Bronx and Lower East Side of Manhattan. A proud product of the New York City public school system, Mr. Rowe is a social entrepreneur and leader with more than two decades of experience at Teach for America, the White House, MTV Social Impact, and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. He is chairman of the board of Spence-Chapin, a senior visiting fellow at the Thomas B. Fordham Institute, an Echoing Green Fellow, a Harvard Business School Social Enterprise Fellow, and a member of the American Enterprise Institute Leadership Network. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Cornell University and master’s degree from Harvard Business School.
