Lisa Snell is director of K-12 education policy partnerships at Stand Together and the managing director of Yes Every Kid Foundation. Ms. Snell was formerly the director of education and child welfare policy at Reason Foundation for more than 24 years. Before joining Reason Foundation, she was an adjunct instructor and a speech and debate coach at California State University, Fullerton. She has written policy studies on school choice, school finance reform, child welfare and foster care reform, universal preschool, school violence, and charter schools. Additionally, she has worked to break down barriers for more education opportunities for K-12 students through legislative policy change in states such as Arizona, California, Florida, Indiana, Louisiana, Mississippi and Texas. Ms. Snell’s education commentary has appeared in publications including Education Week, Edutopia, and The New York Times. She was an advisory board member to the National Quality Improvement Center for the Children’s Bureau and board president for the California Virtual Academy at Los Angeles. Ms. Snell was a Charles Koch Summer Fellow in 1994 and was awarded the Charles G. Koch Outstanding IHS Alumni award in 2012. She earned a master’s degree from California State University, Fullerton.
