Daniel Stid is director of the Madison Initiative at the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation. Previously, Mr. Stid was a partner at The Bridgespan Group, a nonprofit consultancy. Prior to Bridgespan, he held positions at the Boston Consulting Group. Mr. Stid began his career as a political scientist teaching at Wabash College and served as a congressional fellow on the staff of the House Majority Leader. He is the author of The President as Statesman: Woodrow Wilson and the Constitution. Mr. Stid was commissioned an honorary Kentucky Colonel for his service to the Commonwealth. Mr. Stid earned a bachelor’s degree from Hope College, a master’s degree from Oxford University, and a doctorate from Harvard University.
