Brian Yablonski is executive director of the Property and Environment Research Center (PERC). Previously, he was a PERC board member and an adjunct fellow. Prior to joining PERC, he was director of external affairs for the Gulf Power Company. Early in his career, Mr. Yablonski served as director of policy and deputy chief of staff for Florida Governor Jeb Bush. He co-authored, with Jeb Bush, Profiles in Character. From 1989 to 1990, Mr. Yablonski worked in the West Wing of the White House as a personal staff assistant to President George H.W. Bush. He served two terms as chairman of the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) and as a commissioner on the FWC for more than 14 years. In 2016, he was presented Florida Audubon’s Theodore Roosevelt Conservation Award. Mr. Yablonski earned a bachelor’s degree from Wake Forest University and a law degree from the University of Miami School of Law.
