The 2020 National Forum on K-12 Philanthropy will take place 
April 29-30 at the Westin Riverwalk in San Antonio, Texas.

San Antonio has several distinct attributes that make this small-town city an ideal destination for the 2020 K-12 National Forum, including a concerted group of local donors and foundations; autonomous school models with distinctive curricula; audacious charter network expansion to close the achievement gap; parent engagement groups and data initiatives; residency-based teacher development; and a public school choice-based marketplace for students and families. 

National Forum attendees will hear from local funders and educators about the tireless work of establishing high-quality school networks and community support organizations. Donors will witness firsthand the positive ripple effect of already-established schools and organizations such as Great Hearts, IDEA, and Relay GSE and how their proven track records have paved the way for a new generation of home-grown school models, district partnerships, parent organizations, and other community initiatives to take hold across San Antonio.

Transportation is not provided to the Westin Riverwalk. The Westin Riverwalk is located about 10 miles from San Antonio International Airport, which offers onsite taxi cabs, ride-sharing services, and car rentals.
If you would like to bring a guest to sessions, we request that they register as a full conference attendee. Full conference attendees must be qualified donors to register.
The dress code for site visits and meeting sessions is business casual attire. Due to varying temperatures between the outside weather and meeting areas, you may want to bring a sweater or light jacket.
The dress code for dinners is cocktail attire.
During the month of April, the temperature in San Antonio ranges from average lows of 64°F to average highs of 84°F.
