Civics in Prison
Certell offers free full-semester courses in American government, American history, and economics for use by high school teachers. The courses are designed to integrate knowledge with independent thinking, character, and a sense of community responsibility. Certell’s reach includes more than 5,000 teachers and nearly 500,000 students. Over the past four years, Certell also has educated more than 200 inmates with a waitlist of more than 100.
