Megan Schmidt is the senior director of government affairs at Philanthropy Roundtable and has been with the organization since February 2020. In Megan’s current role, she leads the Roundtable’s legislative efforts in the states, working closely with on-the-ground partners to advance philanthropic freedom legislation.

Prior to joining the Roundtable, Megan worked for a Florida-based think tank, where she managed day to day operations for the government affairs team. In addition to her nonprofit experience, she also has several years’ experience working within the executive branch of state government.

Megan earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from Kansas State University.
