Philanthropy Roundtable’s Free to Give campaign elevates the voices of everyday Americans who have dedicated their careers to supporting those in need. Their work is made possible by the freedom of all Americans to give to the causes and communities they care about.
A new Free to Give video featuring a powerful partnership between the Daniels Fund and their grantee ACE Scholarships shows the power of “investing one life at a time” to shape families and communities.
The video tells the story of the Sifre Family in Colorado, whose children were ostracized for their faith at their public school. Jose and Adriana Sifre, like all parents, dreamed of providing their children with the tools to thrive academically, spiritually and socially. They discovered Arma Dei Academy, which proved to be the ideal institution to meet their needs.
However, the cost of tuition was a hurdle for the family and stood between the Sifre children and attending their dream school. ACE Scholarships emerged as the solution that could help the family by providing life-changing partial scholarships that enabled them to send their children to Arma Dei.
ACE offers a pathway for families of school-aged children to pursue educational opportunities through their unique scholarship program. Their partial tuition scholarships supplement the family’s contributions, making it a truly shared investment in their students’ education.
“ACE has really made a big impact in my life because without them, I wouldn’t get to go to this school,” said son Emmanual Sifre. “It shows that no matter how hard life gets, there are other people out there who are willing to support you.”
The entire Sifre family was impacted.
“God answered our prayers, and we found a program that was amazing,” said Adriana. “We are so thankful, because now we can see a better future for our kids.”
This impact is, in part, made possible by the Daniels Fund which is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year. The Daniels Fund focuses on supporting highly effective nonprofit organizations based in Colorado, Wyoming, New Mexico and Utah. Their partnership with ACE inspires ingenuity and casts a vision that can be recreated around the country.
“When it comes to giving, it’s about investing one life at a time,” said Hanna Skandera, Daniels Fund president and CEO and Philanthropy Roundtable board member.
The support from the Daniels Fund enables ACE to continually commit to providing families with access to opportunities that empower students to excel. Through their investment, they equip young people with the skills necessary to build the foundation for lifetime success.
