David Stover

David M. Stover joined the board of The Philanthropy Roundtable in May 2018.

He is a current member of the Board of the John William Pope Foundation and the Directors for Variety Wholesalers. Stover sits on the Board of Directors for Golden LEAF Foundation as an appointee by Governor Pat McCrory. He also serves on the Board of Trustees for the Asheville School, and the Board of Directors for the John Locke Foundation (since 1989) and The Fund for America Studies.

His past experience includes roles as a Senior Marketing Representative for Xerox Corporation and Assistant Secretary at the N.C. Department of Commerce.  Additionally, Stover has served on the Governor’s Small Business Council and on the N.C. Economic Future Commission.

He is a life-long conservative with a commitment to free-market principles. He was awarded the Order of the Long Leaf Pine in December 2016. The Order of the Long Leaf Pine is one of the highest awards presented by the governor of North Carolina for exemplary service to the state that is above and beyond the call of duty.

Stover received his B.S. in business administration from the University of Richmond and his M.B.A. from the Babcock Graduate School of Management at Wake Forest University.
