Ladan Nowrasteh is the director of development at the Philanthropy Roundtable. She brings extensive experience in strategic communications and fundraising, having spent seven years at State Policy Network, where she helped the organization more than double its revenue and built a robust donor and member communications program.
Earlier in her career, Ladan served as director of marketing at the Mercatus Center at George Mason University, leading a team responsible for the organization’s brand and core communication channels. She has also worked on the digital team at the American Enterprise Institute, managing the institute’s website, morning newsletter, social media and live event coverage.
Before transitioning to the nonprofit space, Ladan worked as a reporter for outlets including NBC, the Houston Chronicle, and Radio Free Europe. She holds a master’s degree in journalism from American University and a bachelor’s degree in English from DePauw University in her home state of Indiana. She is based in the Washington, D.C., area with her husband, who also works in public policy, and their three children.
