Senior Director of Philanthropic Networks & Programming

Rebecca Richards is the senior director of philanthropic networks and programming at Philanthropy Roundtable, where she leads peer-education efforts. Prior to joining the Roundtable, Rebecca directed the Fund for Academic Renewal, a donor advisory service, at the American Council of Trustees and Alumni.

Rebecca has advised on over $200 million in gifts to colleges and universities, working with donors on securing their intent, maximizing impact and supporting academic excellence on campus. She writes regularly about philanthropy, education, and culture. Her work can be found in Law and Liberty, the Washington Examiner, The Chronicle of Philanthropy, The Dispatch and Philanthropy Daily.

Originally from Maine, Rebecca graduated from Baylor University with a University Scholar’s degree in philosophy. She earned a Masters in Philanthropic Studies from the University of Kent in Canterbury, U.K.
