Clarice Smith is senior director of American values and policy philanthropy at Philanthropy Roundtable. She joined the organization in May 2021 and brings over two decades of experience working across the conservative philanthropic and policy ecosystem.

Prior to joining Philanthropy Roundtable, Clarice served as program manager at the John William Pope Foundation, where she managed the foundation’s public policy and higher education grantmaking portfolios.

In her role at Philanthropy Roundtable, Clarice leads work at the intersection of American civic values, public policy and philanthropy. She convenes and stewards networks of subject-matter experts and philanthropic leaders, helping connect high-quality ideas with the people and resources needed to turn them into durable impact.

Clarice holds a Bachelor of Arts in international studies from Trinity College (Hartford, Connecticut). She also serves as chair of a nonprofit board.
