Leadership in GivingThe DeVos Family Prize
Each year, Philanthropy Roundtable, in partnership with the DeVos Family Foundation, honors living philanthropists whose charitable leadership exemplifies impact, innovation and giving that inspires others to unlock new approaches to solving major challenges.
“Our family has been grateful to partner with the Simon family to celebrate philanthropists who lead by example and inspire others. As we begin this next chapter with the DeVos Family Prize for Leadership in Giving, we will build on that foundation and celebrate the generosity of those who are working to strengthen families, communities, and lives in powerful ways.”
About the Prize
Philanthropy Roundtable is honored to partner with the DeVos Family Foundation to award the DeVos Family Prize for Leadership in Giving, advancing our shared commitment to inspiring more Americans to promote liberty and opportunity through charitable giving.
The prize celebrates values that strengthen society and improve lives, including personal responsibility, stewardship, family, discovery, generosity and equipping people to reach their fullest potential. These values form the criteria for awarding this prize, and those selected to receive this honor will embody these traits and more.
Winners will receive a $100,000 award to donate to a charitable organization of their choice. This ensures that the prize creates a positive impact and enduring legacy for good.
The DeVos Family Prize is the successor to the Simon-DeVos Prize for Philanthropic Leadership, awarded to living philanthropists who have shown exemplary leadership through their own charitable giving. That prize was awarded by the DeVos Family Foundation and Philanthropy Roundtable in partnership with the William E. Simon Foundation, which sunsetted in 2023.
Nominations for the DeVos Family Prize are accepted year-round. The 2026 submission deadline is March 31, 2026. A selection committee will review the nominations, and the winner will be announced in September.
